DECEMBER 1, 2020

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past 8 years, this idea has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

This year on Tuesday December 1, 2020, HAAC will participate in #GivingTuesday by distributing masks, hand sanitizer and other personal protection equipment (PPE) to Rockland county residents as part of our ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The Experience"

Rockland County's 1st African American museum.

The museum will be located on the Clinton Street corridor adjacent to the African American Memorial park.  You will experience a 400 year journey from Africa to America that will focus on African American contributions to American history through artifacts, exhibits, interactive displays, art and sculptures.
