RESOURCE CENTER
On August 9, 2023, HAAC opened the HAAC multi-purpose Resource Center on New Main street in Haverstraw. The vision of the center is to serve all members of the community by providing social, educational, and recreational activities to Haverstraw residents of all ages regardless of ethnicity, gender or economic status. We will also develop partnerships with other non-profit and community organizations. The space will serve as the central distribution center for donations, food, clothing and other community needs as they arise. It will also serve as the meeting space for all divisions of HAAC and provide a space to preview museum displays.
ASEP
The HAAC After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) serves approximately 40 children ages 5-18 and their families. ASEP provides homework and school support, cultural and spiritual enrichment, physical recreation, and teaches life skills. Program participants also participate in community service projects including community clean ups, assisting the elderly, environmental awareness and have opportunity's to go on field trips and outings.
